From my huge vintage barware collection, a beautifully simple vintage brass champagne/wine bucket with exactly the kind of aged finish I love finding.The substantial urn-form body has a wide rolled rim, two turned knob-style side handles, and a raised pedestal base. Rather than ornate decoration, the design is wonderfully restrained, allowing the proportions and naturally aged brass to do all the work.Measures approximately:9.25” tall

7” diameter openingThe brass has developed a fabulous dark, mellow patina with spotting, oxidation, color variation, scratches and other surface wear from age and use. It has deliberately been left unpolished. Please see photographs closely for condition.No maker’s mark is visible on the underside, so I am leaving the manufacturer and exact age unidentified rather than guessing.Originally intended as a wine/champagne cooler, but this is also a terrific decorating piece—use it as a vase, planter, centerpiece or simply display it on a bar cart. The aged brass works especially well with traditional, English country, collected, Hollywood Regency and eclectic interiors.A substantial piece of vintage barware with loads of character.
