Vintage Buck 112 Ranger Knife 2-dot '76 Cat.-3 Ver.-2 RARE 4-pin W/Sheath Exc. For Sale

This is a vintage Buck 112 USA Ranger style knife made in 1976. The knife measures 4 1/4" closed and has nice macassar ebony handles with no chips or cracks. The bolsters have some light scratches. The blade is very lighly used but mostly full it locks up tight and has good snap closing. It is tang stamped BUCK over .112. over U.S.A. From what I've read this is a Category 3 Version 2 Buck 112 2-dot made in 1976. This is the rare version with 4 handle pins. In 1976 Buck decided to change from 2 handle pins to 3 handle pins on their 110's and 112's. They had left over old hardware that was drilled for 2 pins and used them for the new 3 pin design, and 1 pin hole was extra so they simply added another pin instead of leaving it unused. There were only about 1000 of these 4 pins versions made making them very rare. It comes with the original leather sheath with everything in excellent condition. Thanks for looking.
