The porcelain figure displays strong decorative detail throughout, including finely modeled facial features, flowing dress folds, hand-painted floral decoration, gilt trim, and a raised Rocaille-style base. The base features a gilded scrolling relief border similar to the decorative bases found on German Dresden Revival courting and musical figural groups from the same period.
The underside bears a blue crown-and-shield style mark with “1859”, along with “Made in GDR.” The “Made in GDR” mark confirms production in the German Democratic Republic / East Germany, dating the piece between 1949 and 1990. The 1859 marking should be understood as a historical or commemorative factory mark, not the production year.
