Vintage Cast Brass Native American Rider Indian Motorcycle Style Mystery Part:
$149.95

Vintage cast brass Native American rider figure with feathered headdress, apparently originally part of a larger assembly.

The figure is modeled in a seated/straddling riding position with both hands closed around intentional openings. These openings may originally have held reins, a bar, handlebars or another component. The positioning of the hands and legs makes the figure particularly interesting in connection with early motorcycle or equestrian display pieces.

Indian Motorcycle famously used Native American and feathered-headdress imagery throughout its history, and this figure has long been believed by the previous owner to possibly have some connection to Indian Motorcycle memorabilia. We have not, however, located another identical example or found a maker's mark, Indian Motorcycle logo, or documentation confirming that attribution. It is therefore being offered as an unidentified vintage rider figure rather than as an authenticated Indian Motorcycle accessory.

Measures approximately 7" × 4.5" × 2" and weighs approximately 15 oz.

Condition: Shows substantial age and use wear with scratches, finish loss, darkening, oxidation and aged patina throughout. Areas of reddish coloration or underlying surface are visible where the brass-colored finish has worn. Both hand openings are present. The component or object the figure originally rode or attached to is no longer present. No polishing or restoration has been attempted.

An unusual mystery piece with obvious appeal to collectors of early motorcycle memorabilia, Indian Motorcycle-related material, Western Americana and figural brass.
Another matching example of this figure has previously been observed, indicating this was a produced design rather than a unique handmade piece; however, no maker, original application, or documented Indian Motorcycle attribution has been established.

Please review all photos closely for construction, condition and details. Exact maker, age and original use remain unknown.
