Beautiful matched pair of vintage Chinese oiled-paper parasols/umbrellas, each featuring a hand-decorated dragon-and-clouds design in black on a warm tan ground, with a repeating meander border and stylized lantern motifs along the edge. A Chinese character appears printed near the top of each canopy.Traditional bamboo rib construction with a carved wooden sliding hub and hand-tied string wrapping at the interior — classic mid-20th century craftsmanship. Black lacquered wood finials cap each tip. Bamboo shaft/handle.Condition: Excellent — no holes or tears in the paper canopy. Open and close seamlessly.
