This highly detailed statue depicts a traditional scholar or immortal dressed in a vibrant, hand-painted turquoise and pink patterned robe, standing atop a beautifully sculpted base of swirling teal and orange waves.
Features an incised rectangle block "CHINA" mark on the unglazed bottom base, indicating mid-century export production (circa 1950s–1970s).
Includes an incised oval factory cartouche and hand-painted factory inventory numbers ("4-41") on the base.
Bright, glossy enamel glaze detailing throughout the clothing and waves.
Excellent vintage condition! There are no chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or repairs. The delicate fingers and the hollow wave base are completely intact. The colors are incredibly vibrant with very minimal shelf wear.
