Beautiful mid‑century Chinese altar or mantle figure featuring Shòu Lao, the God of Longevity, holding a gourd and a stack of coins. The sculpture incorporates multiple auspicious symbols: a phoenix‑type bird (happiness), turtle (long life), guardian lion (protection), and swirling dragon‑style cloud forms representing power and prosperity. Rich hand‑painted colors in gold, red, blue, and green give the piece strong visual presence.
The underside bears a carved maker’s seal, typical of mid‑century Chinese workshop production.
This is a freestanding figure designed for display on a shelf, mantle, or altar.
