Up for sale is a stunning vintage Chinese porcelain vase featuring a vibrant yellow glazed background (Famille Jaune style), intricately hand-painted with traditional overglaze enamels.Artwork & Classical Poetry Details:
- Front:Displays an elegant, lively nature scene showcasing pink cherry blossoms, rich purple and pink peonies, a perched bird, and a detailed grasshopper insect.
- Back:Features beautifully hand-penciled black calligraphy depicting the famous classical Chinese poem《早梅》 ("Early Plum Blossoms")by the celebrated Tang Dynasty poetZhang Wei(张谓). The poem famously translates to:"A single branch of winter plum blossom resembles a strip of pure white jade, / Standing far out by the village road, right beside the creek bridge. / Not realizing that its proximity to the water caused the flowers to bloom so early, / I mistook it for remnants of winter snow that hadn't yet melted."
Markings & Provenance:
The underside features an iron-red, four-character apocryphalQianlong Nian Zhi(乾隆年制) mark. It proudly retains its original, vintage export quality-control paper label reading"PASS 檢 GFA", which definitively dates this fine piece to the Chinese export era of the late 20th century (circa 1970s–1980s).Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, nicks, or repairs. Minor, normal shelf wear on the unglazed foot ring as pictured. Hand-painted enamel details and calligraphy remain incredibly vibrant, crisp, and intact.Measurements:
