Beautiful vintage Chinese Yixing-style Zisha clay teapot featuring an elaborate dragon and phoenix design in raised/slip decoration on a deep blue body.
The teapot has a traditional round form with a fitted lid, dark brown clay handle, spout and finial. The dragon and phoenix imagery is especially attractive and represents a traditional Chinese symbol of harmony, good fortune and prosperity.
The bottom has an impressed Chinese seal mark, which appears to read 中国宜兴 (China Yixing).
