I originally bought this apothecary jar for my collection. Upon receiving it I realized it doesn’t really fit my esthetic. So I’m offering it up to the next collector! This beautiful DEEP cobalt blue apothecary jar was produced for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in the 1960’s. This is part of a rare decorative collectors edition series of replica apothecary jars.
This jar is absolutely stunning! Ribbed on the front and back to warn of dangerous contents.
“PIL: PLUMB: c OPIO” translating to Lead w/ Opium. A beautiful large ornate ground glass stopper. The bottom of the stopper has a couple of small chips, nothing visible upon display.
3.5” w/out stopper. Just shy of 5.5” with stopper. A truly wonderful stand out collector’s piece!
