Tiny box, enormous aristocratic energy.
Elegant vintage porcelain trinket box featuring a deep cobalt blue body, ivory-toned lid with raised scrollwork, bright gold trim, and a romantic courting-couple scene in the center.
The decoration has a classic Rococo / Fragonard-style look, with an 18th-century-inspired gentleman and lady set within a garden scene. The molded ivory border adds extra texture and detail, while gold bands accent the lid and base.
The underside is marked with a crowned “N”, a mark commonly associated with Capodimonte-style and other European decorative porcelain. The exact maker has not been confirmed, so the piece is being listed by its visible mark and style rather than attributed to a specific factory.
Measures approximately 4” in diameter × 1.5” high.
Condition
Preowned vintage condition with light age-related wear. Gold trim shows minor surface wear consistent with age. No obvious cracks or major chips noted in the photos. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
