An exceptional set of MCM, Fabres designed Leacock Irish Linen cocktail napkins in the "Chanteclaire" pattern.
Each of the eight napkins features a colorful rooster (cock-tail) in a different pose. Making cocktails, serving cocktails, toasting with a cocktail, drinking a cocktail or carrying off a man or woman with a cocktail. On white linen finished with a red, green or yellow border. Colors are vibrant. Hand printed, hand finished. Fabres designed and signed. Each one is a fantastic piece of art.
Made by Leacock this is a rare complete set of eight, copyrighted 1952.
The set is in very, very good condition No holes, stains or wear. The napkin with the rooster standing on a gentleman's back has a tiny spec--not noticeable. Hand-laundered and pressed.
The napkins measure approx. 5" X 8".
