Great piece of early cookware with a classic “Cold Handle” embossed handle and No. 2 marking.
This lightweight steel skillet features the distinctive construction associated with Cold Handle cookware, making it an interesting piece for collectors of vintage kitchenware, early camping equipment and cowboy/chuck-wagon cookware.
One of the best features is the original instruction label still attached to the cooking surface. The label instructs the original owner to wash the protective lacquer from the pan before use and explains that the lacquer was applied to prevent rusting during storage.
The pan has developed an authentic aged appearance from years of use and storage, including surface rust/oxidation, scratches and areas of discoloration. The handle remains intact and has the original hanging hole.
