RARE vintage 12-inch Concorde G-BSST prototype desktop display model airplane, complete with its original chrome metal tripod stand and authentic factory-labeled shipping box.
The original shipping box features a highly collectible, authentic metered U.S. postage label postmarked from Arlington, VA on November 5, 1975 ($1.36 rate). This dates the model precisely to the critical pre-launch promotional window just months before Concorde's commercial transatlantic service began.
This 1975 date proves the model was distributed exactly when the Anglo-French manufacturers were heavily lobbying the U.S. government for landing rights. Arlington, Virginia's proximity to Washington, D.C. strongly suggests this box was an original corporate or government presentation package sent to influence decision-makers right before Concorde's official January 1976 commercial launch
This historic piece replicates the iconic British 002 supersonic test aircraft in a classic 1:200 scale format.
Both items will be securely double-boxed to ensure the pristine preservation of the rare original packaging during transit.
