This is a unique collection of vintage smoking pipes that I acquired from an estate in an old cabin that had not been lived in for approximately 30 years. The pipes were found together and are being offered in the same as-found, uncleaned condition.
The collection includes a wide variety of pipe styles, shapes, materials, and apparent ages. Among the identifiable pieces is a FALCON-marked metal pipe, as well as a pipe with its vintage presentation case marked “A Meerschaum Product.” There are also numerous traditional briar/wood pipes, carved pipes, unusual novelty-style examples, and assorted pipe pieces.
These have not been professionally cleaned or restored since being removed from the cabin. They show varying degrees of age and previous use, including carbon buildup, patina, scratches, discoloration, oxidation, residue, finish wear, and other signs of age. Some may have damage, missing pieces, or require restoration.
Because these were found in an old cabin that had been unoccupied for roughly three decades, I think they would make a particularly interesting collection for someone who enjoys vintage tobacco pipes, estate finds, restoration projects, or unusual smoking memorabilia.
