Vintage Fraternal Order of Eagles FOE Enamel Knight Watch Fob / Pendant
Fantastic vintage fraternal charm or watch fob associated with the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE). This is an unusually elaborate example featuring a three-dimensional knight’s helmet above a Maltese/cross-form pendant.
One side features a raised Native American profile wearing a multicolored enameled feather headdress, with “FOE” incorporated into the design. The reverse displays a beautifully detailed multicolor enamel fraternal crest beneath an eagle and the words:
FREEDOM • CHARITY • FRIENDSHIP
—the traditional motto of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Decorative engraving and what appear to be old script initials embellish the arms of the cross. The dimensional knight’s helmet swivels/moves at the connection and gives the piece wonderful character.
