This is a vintage French tourism booklet laying out twenty suggested itineraries through France, the kind of guide handed to travellers planning a motoring holiday. It runs to seventeen pages of routes, regional description and the practical detail a visitor would have needed, and it survives complete.
Booklets like this are bought by two very different people. Travel-ephemera collectors want them for the period graphics and the snapshot of how a country sold itself to visitors, and junk journal and collage makers want the maps, the typography and the illustrated panels as cutting stock.
