Description:
Vintage 1960s “Pity Puppy” lithograph by GIG (Girard Goodenow) featuring an adorable sad-eyed puppy sitting beside a chain-link fence.
Classic example of the 1960s Big Eye art movement, with the exaggerated soulful eyes that made GIG’s Pity Puppy images so recognizable.
Signed GIG © within the image and marked “LITHO IN U.S.A.” at lower right.
The lithograph is mounted on particleboard and features a printed ornate faux-frame design around the image.
Measures approximately 11” x 14”
Vintage condition with age-related surface, edge and corner wear. There are small areas of wear/chipping to the printed faux-frame border. Please zoom in and review all photographs carefully.
