Penney Company were popular premium garment choices from the 1950s through the 1980s.This is a vintage two-card assortment of natural shell garment buttons. The first card features three lavender-purple iridescent buttons by JHB International, factory-marked "Genuine Shell" and "Made in Spain" on the back plate. The second card is an older department store strip from the Penney Co., holding four carved white mother-of-pearl style buttons. These white buttons feature a classic "fish-eye" center indentation and display a natural, heavy, cold-to-the-touch composition with an organic pearlescent luster. Both sets remain securely attached to their original merchant cardboard backings.
