Early Goebel TMK-1 Crown Mark — Apparent Double Crown
This M.I. Hummel Singing Lesson figurine, HUM 63, bears the early Goebel Crown/WG trademark (TMK-1), associated with production from approximately 1935–1950.
The underside displays both a printed Crown/WG trademark and what appears to be an impressed version of the same early factory mark, a combination collectors refer to as the Double Crown. Also marked “Germany” and impressed with model number 63.
The original design dates to 1937; the exact production year of this figurine is unknown, though it definitely predates the separation of East and West Germany in 1949, so that matches the marks and period of the trademarks.
