Vintage H. Disston & Sons Hand Saw USA Wood Handle Wheat Carved.Established 1840 by Henry Disston in Philadelphia.
Medallion reads Disston Phila, which dates this saw between 1917 and 1942, according to my rudimentary research. The blade has An emblem that includes the words HENRY DISSTON & SONS, Pat. June, Philadelphia. There is an inscription next to the emblem that mentions \"For Beauty... and Utility this Saw cannot be Excelled. Henry Disston. Next to that is an image of a bald eagle above Liberty Bell. Above the eagle is printed \"VICTORY\" and beneath the bell reads \"Proclaim Liberty Throughout The World\"
In good condition, considering its advanced age. Graphics are hard to read. Minor overall surface rust. `Estate sale find, from an old wooden toolbox in an older man\'s garage.Overall length: 29\". 26\" blade length. I measured 9 teeth to an inch.
