Charming hand-carved wooden figurine depicting a hunter in a plaid double-breasted jacket, flat cap, and tall black boots. He holds a carved wooden rifle in one hand and a small carved companion animal (appears to be a hunting dog standing on its hind legs) in the other. The figure is mounted on an octagonal wood base.
The piece shows classic folk-art carving style with hand-painted detailing — plaid pattern lines, rosy cheeks, and wood-grain texture left visible on the jacket and trousers. No maker\'s mark or signature was found on the piece.
Condition: Used / pre-owned vintage condition. Minor wear consistent with age is visible, including some scuffing to the paint and a small area of glue residue near the base where the figure attaches. No chips or breaks noted. Please review photos closely as they are part of the description.
A delightful addition to any folk art, hunting, or wood carving collection.
