Vintage Hand Painted Ceramic Canvasback Duck Decoy Figurine For Sale

Description:
This decorative waterfowl sculpture is rendered in the form of a resting Canvasback duck, a species traditionally celebrated by North American artisans and hunters alike as the \"king of ducks\" due to its striking silhouette and historical prevalence in regional folk art decoys. The figurine features a dense, heavily textured body covered completely in finely incised feather detailing. The primary plumage is finished in a uniform, unglazed matte earth tone. In contrast, deep reddish-brown glaze highlights the open bill, detailed webbed feet tucked along the side, and the rims of the eyes.
