Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage 15-inch octagonal frame drum. It features a traditional rawhide animal skin head stretched tightly over an 8-sided wooden frame, secured with a classic central lacing system on the back. The inside frame retains its original maker\'s card reading: *\"Red Horse - Hand Made by Barry Boland, 199[x], White ... N.C.\"* This is a wonderful piece of regional American folk art and musical percussion history. **PLAYABILITY & USE:**
The main drum face remains pulled taut and the drum can absolutely still be played for light hand drumming or casual acoustic sessions.
