Vintage Handmade Quilt, Feed Sack Back, 95x 69 For Sale

This is a really terrific vintage quilt in cotton. It is completely handmade and features a granny squares pattern in multiple colorful fabrics on a blue ground. The edges are also bound in matching blue. It is entirely hand-stitched with the exception of the binding which has been sewn on by machine. The reverse is made from a Purina chicken feed bag...there is faint blue print on the white cotton ground announcing the former contents of Layena Checker-etts. The filling is also cotton giving the quilt weightiness. It is in very good vintage condition. It does have some loose or missing stitches here and there and there are a few spots of wear on the edges (please see all photos). There is a small hole (see photo) on the reverse. These do not detract from the overall appearance or sturdiness of the item and it is very stable. It is a wonderful old quilt with a bit of history from a different time. Thoroughly laundered and fresh.
