Vintage Handwoven Pedestal Chalice Basket-Boho Openwork Footed Bowl For Sale

Vintage hand woven footed pedestal basket bowl, styled with an organic, mid century aesthetic. The basket has two distinct parts a flared, wide mouthed upper bowl supported by a thick, cylindrical trunk. The upper section features flat, blond split wood vertical slats. The upper rim and lower belly are tightly twined with thick, contrasting embroidery fibers in different shades. The column base is densely wrapped in alternating horizontal bands. The item is made up of an earthy color palette and in great vintage condition, clean and stable. No broken bands or holes. Approximately 9 inches in diameter and 10 inches tall. Basket is slightly lopsided/tilted to the pedestal frame which is entirely normal for handmade natural fiber baskets and gives it a beautiful imperfection while being in great condition.
