Vintage Heavy Crackled 14" Dark Amethyst to Fine Smokey Handblown Vase.
UPDATE: It has come to my attention that this is likely a Bischoff No. 454 vase. I don’t have much other information beyond that it matches the size and general style and contours. It could still be something else but that’s a decent bet.
I don't know anything about the origin or the maker or the pattern, but can confirm it is handblown (tooling marks on side and on bottom, see last two photos) with real heat-crackled "alligator skin" texture. Different colors resulting from glass thickness and heat / cooling gradient techniques.
No cracks or chips, just a few minuscule rough spots, possibly even from the factory.
The purple is really obvious in daylight but it is hard to get good photos of that. In some light the surface looks very dark amber and in some light the whole thing just looks like two shades of black to greenish-brown smoky.
