Vintage Illinois Political Button Lot 5 Crane Hartke Small Gill Hopkins:
$8.95

Vintage lot of 5 Illinois political campaign and political memorabilia buttons, featuring candidates for Congress, State Representative, County Treasurer, Circuit Judge, and Governor.

Lot includes:

* CHUCK HARTKE – STATE REP — large cream and blue button with heart-and-key design. Charles A. “Chuck” Hartke was an Illinois State Representative from the Teutopolis/Effingham area; Illinois legislative records document his service in the Illinois House.

* CRANE FOR CONGRESS — large yellow button featuring a crane illustration. The design is consistent with Illinois congressional campaign material for Crane; historical records document Philip M. Crane’s congressional campaigns in Illinois.

* LEN SMALL – BACK TO PROSPERITY — very small red, white and blue button featuring Len Small. Small was an Illinois Republican governor, and contemporary 1932 newspaper coverage specifically documents the campaign slogan “Back to Prosperity with Len Small.”

* DORIS GILL – FOR COUNTY TREASURER — blue button reading “Vote Doris Gill for County Treasurer.” Crawford County, Illinois records document Doris Gill being appointed county treasurer in 1991.

* ROBERT HOPKINS – FOR CIRCUIT JUDGE — green button. Illinois Second Judicial Circuit records identify Robert Hopkins as a longtime Lawrence County circuit judge who served for approximately 30 years before retiring.
