Vintage Italian brass 1.75” oval pill or trinket boxfeaturing a monochromatic white relief portrait depicting a mother embracingher child, set into an ornate, embossed brass frame. The perimeter of the boxfeatures an elegant, detailed classical scrollwork and floral pattern.
The inside lid is stamped "Made in Italy"(visible under close inspection).
Condition:
Authentic vintage condition. Theexterior brass retains its beautiful details with a warm vintage tone. Theinterior shows a heavy, aged patina and oxidation consistent with itsmid-century history.
The hinge and closure work well.
