Each cupfeatures a beautifully modeled stylized caryatid/mermaid figural handle with hand painted details and blue accents. In addition to aGold luster interior: the insideof each cup is coated in a heavy, mirror bright metallic gold glaze decoratedwith an intricate faux crackle spiderweb veining pattern that brilliantlyreflects light.
The exteriors of both the cup and saucer showcase classic Capodimonte three dimensional raised relief scenes depictingplayful cherubs/putti amidst lush floral landscapes and vibrant greenery the saucers are reticulated and feature the same scenes as found on the cups.
The base of each piece features thetraditional underglaze Capodimonte C mark withpattern number 664.
The set shows no wear, I have photographed the single flaw I found on close inspection, a couple of very small flea bites on the top edge of one cup and a small chip on the base of another.
Cups measure 4 3/8\" wide including the handle and are 2 3/4\" high overall. Saucers are 6 1/8\" in diameter.
