A sculptural pair of vintage Italian alabaster bookends featuring finely carved horse heads with gracefully bowed necks, stylized manes, and expressive features.
Each horse is carved in pale alabaster with subtle natural variations in tone and gray veining. The heads face inward toward one another, creating a balanced composition when displayed together. Their elongated profiles and simplified detailing give the pair a classical character with a distinctly modern sensibility.
The horses rise from substantial rectangular bases, providing both visual weight and a practical function as bookends. Their soft white coloration and natural stone variations complement traditional libraries, equestrian interiors, and contemporary spaces alike.
