Vintage Italian Alabaster Mushroom Bookends – Two-Piece Sculptural Design – Made in Italy
A beautiful and unusual pair of vintage Italian alabaster bookends, featuring a distinctive two-piece mushroom design.
Expertly shaped and polished, these substantial stone bookends feature striking natural coloration in shades of salmon pink, warm cream, ivory, and reddish brown, accented by dramatic dark veining throughout.
What makes this set particularly unique is its dual-purpose design. When placed together, the two bookends form a complete three-dimensional mushroom sculpture. When separated, each half functions as an individual decorative bookend.
The sculptural mushroom silhouette and rich natural stone patterns give these pieces a wonderful vintage character, particularly appealing to collectors of Italian decorative stonework, mid-century furnishings, and 1970s-inspired home décor.
