Vintage cast-metal bas-relief wall plaque depicting James A. Garfield, the 20th president of the United States.
This substantial portrait plaque features Garfield in profile with a full beard, detailed hairstyle, formal jacket, and bow tie. The sculpted relief has a dark gray aged-metal finish and an integrated hanging hole at the top for wall display.
The portrait design closely matches an example cataloged as a “Garfield cast-iron plaque” by Walther & Hawkins saleeers.
An interesting piece of presidential memorabilia and historical Americana, suitable for collectors of political antiques, decorative metalwork, and American history.
