This is an authentic vintage Japanese Boro textile with beautiful historical character.
Measuring 80 cm x 86 cm (approx. 31.5" x 33.8"), it is constructed with two layered panels of antique indigo cotton. The main body features a naturally faded blue and gray striped pattern. Notably, the ground fabric is carefully pieced together with exquisite, precise pattern matching, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship of the original maker.
A prominent patch featuring a subtle, fine micro-striped indigo pattern is hand-stitched near the center, creating a beautiful contrast. The textile also shows careful hand-sewn sashiko reinforcement with dark navy and gray threads.
