Hand-thrown on a potter's wheel with traditional prominent horizontal wheel ridges (rokurome) running along the body. They feature a stunning milky white-gray Shira-Hagi slip glaze showing incredible depth and visual texture.
Each cup features an unglazed, coarse iron-rich clay base (kodai) showing the hand-incised cursive signature mark of master artisan Keiichiro (圭) from the acclaimed Shiun Kiln. The bases also showcase the historic crescent-notched foot ring (kirikodai), a highly prized design characteristic in wabi-sabi tea aesthetics.
