This set includes the 10-inch K&E 4094 slide rule, glass cursor/indicator, black fitted leather carrying case, green outer storage box, larger "Merchants" Slide Rule 4094 and Desk Slide Rules N4096 & 4096M instruction booklet, and the smaller "How to Take Care of Your K&E Slide Rule" Mannheim booklet copyrighted 1944.
The rule features DF, CF, CI, C and D scales and is constructed with a wood core and light-colored laminated/celluloid-type scale facings. Overall length is approximately 11 inches, with a 10-inch calculating scale.
Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear throughout. The slide rule shows discoloration, surface marks, handling wear, and some handwritten notations visible on the rule. The glass cursor is present and appears intact. The leather case shows surface and edge wear, particularly around the flap. The green outer box has scuffs, edge wear, and small areas of material loss. Both instruction booklets show age toning, creasing, handling wear, and some small edge tears.
A substantially more complete example than a loose slide rule alone, with original-style accessories and period literature included.
