Heavy Vintage Green Serpentine Stone Ashtray Carved Natural Freeform 6.5 lb

Vintage Large Hand-Carved Green Serpentine Stone Ashtray – Heavy Free-Form Natural Stone – Approx. 9 Inches

Impressive solid natural stone ashtray hand-carved from green serpentine (also commonly called ornamental serpentine or “new jade” type material).

This substantial piece features:

• Beautiful mottled green to yellowish-green color with natural cloudy veining and translucent areas

• Deep central well perfect for use as an ashtray, cigar rest, trinket dish, vide-poche, or decorative bowl

• Organic free-form shape with irregular scalloped / natural-edge rim

• Thick, solid construction with both polished and textured surfaces

Measurements:

• Approximately 9 inches across

• Weight: 6 pounds 8 ounces (very heavy and substantial)

This style of large carved green stone ashtray was popular from the mid-to-late 20th century and makes a striking decorative accent even if not used for smoking. Serpentine is a classic material for these heavy, sculptural pieces because of its attractive color, translucency, and carvability.

Condition: Good vintage condition. Natural stone character fully visible with expected light surface wear, minor scratches, and some residue in the well consistent with age and use. No major cracks or structural damage. Displays beautifully.

Hello and welcome!

I’m not a professional reseller. I’m a semi-retired empty nester who is learning to let go of some of my “treasures” and things I’ve collected over the years — and hopefully make a little extra spending money along the way!

Many of the items in my shop were originally purchased new and have had just one owner. I’ve taken care of my things, but as I simplify and make room for the next chapter, it’s time for some of them to find new homes.

All items come from a non-smoking home.

I do my best to accurately describe each item and point out any flaws, wear, or imperfections I notice. I also take plenty of photos so you can see exactly what you’re purchasing. If you have a question or need additional information, please feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help!

📦 Shipping: I ship Tuesday through Saturday and carefully package your purchase for its journey to you.

Thank you so much for stopping by, supporting my little adventure, and giving one of my treasures a new home. I truly appreciate every purchase!

Happy shopping!
