Up for sale is a stunning, exceptionally detailed vintage sandalwood(?) statue of the Hindu deity Shiva in his iconic Nataraja (Lord of the Dance) form.
This piece has been kept in a smoke-free, climate-controlled home ever since we acquired it.
Artistry & Material:Standing at a substantial 19 inches tall (including the polished integrated base), this statue features master-level, lace-like openwork carving. The detail on the surrounding prabha mandala (halo of flames), Shiva’s multiple arms, his flowing hair, and the demon Apasmara beneath his foot is truly magnificent.

Width: Approx. 8 inches (at the widest part of the flame halo and the base)
