Pair of Lefton China Hand-Painted Goose Figurines
Pair of Lefton China hand-painted goose figurines with a matte finish and green grass-textured bases. The upright goose with a pink bonnet and polka-dot watering can maybe in the garden, and the other is marching along with her kiddo in tow. The taller goose measures approx 3\" tall. Both are stamped underneath with Lefton\'s crown mark, \"Lefton China / Hand Painted,\" and number 02348. Very cute.
Most likely 1980\'s Taiwan production, based on identical examples retaining paper labels identifying Taiwan manufacture with the same coordinated 02348 group stamped on our pair. This set for sale does not have any paper labels or boxes, just the figurines.
Condition
- Good overall condition with no chips.
- Very slight rubs on the duck beak ends, though part of that may just be the original paint depth.
- One very small stray green paint mark on the left side of the upright goose, shown in the photographs, these were hand painted.
- A small remnant of tape remains underneath one figure.
- Very gently cleaned. No conservation performed.
