Vintage English pewter tankard made by Leonard Eales of Sheffield, England.
This traditional 4.75-inch tankard features a highly polished pewter body, flared base, rolled rim, sculptural handle and a distinctive glass bottom. The underside is marked “Leonard,” “Eales of Sheffield Since 1779,” “English Pewter Tankard” and “Made in England.”
The glass-bottom construction is a classic feature associated with traditional English tankards and gives the piece additional character when displayed or used as vintage barware.
