A beautifully preserved, 100% intact vintage Tohono O’odham (formerly Papago) oval coiled storage basket (with its retained original fitted matching lid) featuring a striking, continuous geometric zig zag pattern.
Carefully inspected; there are no broken, loose, or dry-rotted stitches on the body, lid, handles or interior. Please see photos demonstrating this 2-piece basket’s excellent vintage condition. Little to no fading (natural Desert materials have retained their distinct green, tan and dark purple-black hues.) This piece appears to have been well cared for; carefully kept as a display item (no signs of heavy utilitarian use.) This is a beautiful Native American basket for the collector.
