Up for sale is a stunning, authentic vintage mid-century modern centerpiece bowl/squat vase crafted by the legendary workshop of Los Castillo in Taxco, Mexico. This beautiful piece features striking geometric inlaid mosaic panels of vibrant green malachite and deep blue lapis lazuli set against a hand-hammered silver-plated body. Excellent vintage condition. There are absolutely NO loose or missing stone tiles—the mosaic inlay is 100% complete, intact, and smooth to the touch. The silver plate (Plateado) shows a beautiful vintage patina with minor, expected superficial wear consistent with age, but no major deep scratches, dents, or heavy wear-through to the base metal. It has been lightly cleaned but not aggressively polished, preserving its historic character. The underside is clearly and deeply hand-stamped with the official Los Castillo workshop hallmark:Plateado (denoting heavy silver plate over a brass/copper base)Los Castillo Taxco (arranged in their iconic circular format)TA-01 (The official registered Mexican government code for the Antonio Castillo studio)Hecho en Mexico.
