Vintage MCM Brass Tone Gooseneck Desk Lamp Adjustable Industrial Task Light
Vintage mid-century modern adjustable gooseneck desk or task lamp featuring an attractive gold/brass-tone finish, sculptural flexible neck and distinctive tapered metal shade with circular ventilation openings.
The lamp has a classic 1950s–1960s industrial modernist aesthetic, equally suited to a vintage office, drafting desk, workshop, reading nook or mid-century interior.
The flexible gooseneck allows the shade to be positioned at different heights and angles, while the substantial stepped circular base provides a stable footprint. A small rotary-style switch is mounted directly on the base. The shade features a distinctive flared profile with a recessed bulb and ventilated rear housing.
Dimensions:
* Maximum extended height: Approximately 14.5”
* Base diameter: Approximately 4.5”
* Adjustable flexible gooseneck
The base and shade are nonmagnetic, suggesting nonferrous metal construction, while the flexible gooseneck is magnetic. Exact metal composition and manufacturer have not been determined.
Vintage condition with surface scratches, scuffs, finish wear, discoloration and age-related patina consistent with years of use. The original character and finish have been preserved rather than restored.
An attractive example of functional mid-century lighting, combining industrial utility with space-age-inspired styling.
