USA Pottery
Deviled Egg Server - Ceramic
Mid-20th Century, 1 Piece
This vintage deviled egg dish exemplifies the bold aesthetic of Mid-Century Modern American pottery. Featuring a deep obsidian black glaze, the twelve egg wells and the divided central compartment are decorated with a vibrant red and yellow-green lava drip glaze. The underside of the tray is finished with a distinctive textured matte brown glaze designed to mimic natural wood grain, a popular motif in mid-century California-style ceramics.
• Marked \"725\" and \"USA\" on the base
• 12 individual egg wells with a dual-compartment center for garnishes or appetizers
• Ceramic construction with a silver-tone metal center carrying handle
• Wood-grain textured exterior provides a rustic contrast to the high-gloss interior
Condition: Good vintage condition. There is a small chip located on the bottom/underneath the rim as noted in the product inspection. The glazed interior remains glossy and vibrant with no visible crazing or utensil marks. The metal handle shows light surface tarnish consistent with age.
