Vintage Made in Germany Multi Color Candy Stripe 4.5 Clasp Pocket Knife 1940s For Sale

Vintage Made in Germany single-blade clasp folding pocket knife featuring a highly distinctive multi-color candy stripe celluloid handle assembly dating to the 1930s to 1950s era. This large-scale European export folder is built with a single carbon steel clip point blade measuring a long 3 1/2 inches, with a total closed length tracking at an impressive 4 1/2 inches. The master tang features a crisp, legible two-line factory stamp reading MADE IN GERMANY.

The knife features beautiful, brightly colored candy/circus stripe celluloid handle scales stacked with alternating vertical ribbons of red, yellow, blue, black, and cream. The scales remain completely intact with three bright structural face rivets. It is in good vintage condition, retaining a solid mechanical snap action upon opening and closing. The long steel blade has a natural, uncleaned age-patina, light surface pitting, and oxidation spots from decades of storage but remains completely honest and functional. The fluted metal bolsters and inner liners are tight and complete. An exceptionally clean and visually striking example of a large-frame vintage German multi-color cutlery design.
