Up for sale is a deeply historic, beautifully paired personal archive tracing a lifelong fraternal journey out of St. Louis, Missouri, from the late 1920s through the 1940s. This estate lot captures an incredible \"Brotherhood\" story involving two best friends—Morris W Turken and his wedding\'s best man, Victor B Friedman. After Morris Turken passed away in 1995, Victor Friedman and Morris Turken\'s wife, Bee, were companions until Victor\'s passing in 2003. Morris W Turken was my Grandfather, and he achieved the rank of 32nd Degree Mason during his life. I believe Victor B Friedman was a 32nd Degree Mason as well. Both were heavily involved in the Phoenix, AZ Business world during their lives.
What is Included in This Lot:1909 Masonic Manual of Missouri: Features an authentic vintage \"Work Required\" ritual proficiency tracking checklist mounted to the inside cover, tracing an officer\'s advancement to Worshipful Master. Binding shows heavy shelf wear/separation, but pages remain intact.
1947 Masonic Manual of Missouri: Excellent vintage condition. Custom inscribed by Mason Robert E. Ferguson of Cornerstone Lodge No. 323 (St. Louis, MO), complete with a unique handwritten page tallying the exact 9,220 words memorized for his ritual lectures.
1927 Order of DeMolay Membership Certificate: Issued to a teenage Morris Turken by the University-Perfection Chapter (St. Louis). Hand-dated December 7, 1927, and June 6, 1928. Features rare, authentic early signatures of DeMolay Founder Frank S. Land and Grand Master Councilor Alexander G. Cochran (dates the card firmly pre-1928). Jointly sponsored by University Lodge No. 649.
Vintage DeMolay Seed Pearl & Blue Enamel Pin: Stunning early member badge featuring a classic safety guard chain and scimitar sword guard. Surrounding crown features miniature seed pearls.
Two Matching Vintage \"NC\" Leadership Nugget Pins: Connected by a fine chain link, these beautifully styled seed-pearl pins denote a specialized chapter rank. One pin is a badge component belonging to Morris Turken. The second is a complete set beautifully engraved on the reverse \"VF\" for his lifelong best friend and best man, Victor Friedman. • Vintage Grand Council Order of DeMolay \"Petitions\" Merit Medal: A beautiful mid-century gold-toned sunburst rosette medal featuring a hanging deep blue enamel \"Petitions\" bar, awarded for chapter recruitment efforts.
