Beautiful large vintage Mexican-style folk art batea bowl measuring approximately 15 inches across.Made from turned/carved wood with a dark painted interior featuring colorful hand-painted floral designs in blue, coral/orange, pink, white and green. The reverse shows the natural wood construction along with an older handwritten marking.This piece has substantial authentic-looking age and character, including worn paint, scratches, fading and surface wear throughout. I have intentionally left it exactly as found rather than attempting to clean, refinish or restore it.
