Vintage Mexican Folk Art Feather Bird Wicker Basket Tray Wall Decor For Sale

This small handcrafted wicker tray with a colorful pretty painted feather bird is not only beautiful, but also useful. Small objects may be stored in it as a general-use tray on your desk, or you could hang it as a unique wall decor piece. The image of the bird is created by using real or dyed feathers on a piece of wood which is attached to the wicker behind glass. The wicker on this small tray is in excellent condition; only showing normal aging and wear with no breaks. This vintage wicker basket was purchased in Mexico in 1953 as a Christmas gift. There is an inscription on the bottom of the piece identifying it's age and history (see photos).
