Beautiful vintage Mexican hand-painted folk art pottery bowl featuring an exceptionally colorful pair of stylized birds surrounded by bold floral and geometric decoration.
This eye-catching bowl is crafted from traditional terracotta/redware pottery and decorated in a style associated with Mexican Tlaquepaque and Tonalá folk pottery. The interior is filled with wonderfully detailed hand-painted artwork in shades of purple, green, pink, blue, red, yellow, cream and black.
The central design features two whimsical birds facing one another, surrounded by flowers, sweeping feather-like foliage and multiple decorative borders. The outer edge has a gently scalloped purple rim that gives the bowl even more visual interest.
The exterior retains the warm natural terracotta color and is decorated with additional hand-painted floral designs. The bowl is elevated on three molded feet, creating a very attractive pedestal-style presentation.

Please review all photographs closely for the exact condition.
The amount of hand-painted detail is really striking. Nearly every area of the interior is decorated, from the elaborate birds and flowers in the center to the repeating multicolor patterns around the border. The three-footed construction and scalloped edge make it equally attractive displayed upright on a shelf or plate stand, or used as a decorative centerpiece.
A gorgeous piece for collectors of Mexican pottery, Tonalá or Tlaquepaque style ceramics, Latin American folk art, hand-painted pottery, bird décor, bohemian interiors, or colorful vintage kitchen and home déc
