Good vintage condition for its age. Showsnormal age-related wear throughout. There is someseparation along portions of the lower hull/bottom panel seam, likelyfrom natural wood movement and aging of the original glued construction. Theroof has a small hairline crack, andthere is a green paint smudge on one red sidepanel, along with some light surface wear and minor paint imperfections.Overall, the boat displays very well. Wonderful vintage wooden cabin cruiser model / pond boatfeaturing anauticaldesign with a warm wood-tone deck, reddish-brown hull, green lower hull,dark green seating, cabin enclosure, miniature steering wheel, and metal bowrailings.
The boat has adistinctive mid-century cabin cruiser / folk-artappearance and may possibly date from the 1940sthrough the 1960s, based on its construction, materials, styling, andclosely comparable vintage examples.
There are no visible manufacturer markings. A smallhandwritten paper label on the underside reads “71397”and “2/5,” although the meaning of these numbers is unknown.
This is a substantialdecorative model measuring approximately 24inches long and weighing about 3.6 lbs.
